Cross-country skiing and biathlon
Valdidentro is the ideal place for lovers of narrow skis.
The Viola slope covers a total distance of 25 km, with gradients that are not particularly excessive. Signposted deviations allow one to choose the desired distance according to one's ability. The competitive track, with an adjoining shooting range, is particularly renowned for hosting biathlon and cross-country competitions.
The starting point is the Ski Stadium in the "Baita Noa" locality, from where the various tracks in the direction of Isolaccia and the Le Motte locality begin. These tracks can be used either as a single track or as separate tracks.
The Alta Valtellina Cross-country Ski School at the Ski Stadium also has cross-country ski hire.
Climbing
In this corner of the mountain lies a little climbing paradise.
The Crap de Scegn crag, located above the village of Isolaccia, with its over 100 routes spread over various sections, offers challenges for every skill level, from beginner to expert. The routes have recently been mapped and traced with meticulous work by the CAI Valdidentro to highlight the various difficulty levels.
Also worthy of note are the rock wall near the Bagni Vecchi and the Cancano climbing crag.
From December 2023, the offer will be enriched with the new indoor climbing and bouldering gym in the center of Isolaccia. Open 11 months of the year, this new facility provides climbing enthusiasts with an innovative and well-structured space to try climbing.
Family Bob
The Family Bob represents the latest in fun attractions for families and children, inaugurating a unique experience in Lombardy!
The Family Bob in Valdidentro is a two-seater trolley that runs on special rails down the mountain slope. It creates an exciting adventure similar to a high-altitude rollercoaster. Taking advantage of the terrain's natural slope, it offers an adrenaline-fuelled downhill experience. Each passenger can control the speed of the trolley via a brake.
Located at the Isolaccia—Pian della Mota cable car's arrival point, the Family Bob is easily accessible in summer and winter. The 600-meter track offers panoramic and winding curves immersed in an enchanting forest of larch, pine, and fir trees.
