A choreographer with a strong vision and international outlook, Monica Casadei founded Artemis Danza after training in Italy, London and Paris. With over forty years of creative activity, the company is now a benchmark for contemporary dance in Italy. Since 2005, she has been developing the Artemis incontra culture altre (Artemis meets other cultures) project, intertwining dance, research and dialogue between languages and countries, building a solid international artistic network.
A highly experienced and refined cellist, he graduated with honours from the Conservatory of Parma and studied with internationally renowned masters. Winner of important competitions, he collaborates with prestigious musical institutions such as the Accademia Bizantina, the RAI Symphony Orchestra of Turin and the Teatro Regio of Parma. He is a member of the Trio Amadei and performs extensively in Italy and abroad.
A versatile and sensitive violinist, she trained in Parma and at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala. She collaborates with numerous orchestras in Italy and abroad and combines her classical activities with original projects, founding ensembles such as Celtic Spirit and Artisti di Parma. She works with Artemis Danza on the SACRO project and, since 2023, has been exploring new musical languages in collaboration with the Stefania Rava Quartet, bringing her music to important venues and festivals.
