A scenic hike in the Alpisella Valley, taking in the Lakes of Cancano, the source of the Adda and picturesque alpine lakes, with a wine tasting led by a sommelier
Thomas Anselmi
A guided hike in Val Alpisella, taking in alpine landscapes, small lakes, panoramic views and local specialities.
The starting point is reached by walking alongside the turquoise-coloured Lake Scale and the Fraele dams. The trek climbs along a path to the source of the River Adda, where the water gushes out from between the rocks.
The route continues towards the pass separating Val Fraele from Val di Livigno, offering views of picturesque alpine lakes. At the mountain hut, you can sample local, farm-fresh produce, whilst the experience will be enhanced by a wine tasting led by a sommelier.
The return route takes you along the opposite side of the mountain, completing a scenic and varied loop.
