Insieme - NOI Semogo

Origins

The 'Insieme NOI Semogo' association, operational since 2011, was founded on the initiative of the Semogo Parish, to manage the multi-purpose facility built in the sports area at the foot of the village center, and to perform an aggregative function for the entire hamlet.

Aims & objcetvises

The 'Insieme NOI Semogo' association is a social promotion association that operates in the local area of the parish of Semogo. It is affiliated with the National Association for Social Promotion "NOI Associazione Aps", through the diocesan 'NOI' Territorial Association.

The 'NOI' association is non-profit and pursues civil, cultural, and social solidarity purposes aimed at promoting aggregation for all age groups of the population. The driving force behind the association is its members, and anyone can become one to contribute to the success of the various initiatives; however, membership is not binding to participate in the activities.

The bar attached to the structure is mainly open during organized activities and is run exclusively by volunteers, to support the various initiatives that take place in the hall and the surrounding green area; during the summer season, the service is also active in the afternoon hours, thanks to the availability of some volunteers, thus improving the service of the entire area.

One of the association's interests is to offer the use of the multi-purpose hall and the other services as described below and to support the future activities of the members, the Pastoral Community, and all the inhabitants who find in this reality, an opportunity for confrontation, entertainment, support and growth, networking and grouping, in Valdidentro, for Valdidentro.

Activities

The association organizes sports tournaments (e.g. volleyball and minibaseball) involving various associates in the running of the evenings, as well as numerous people participating in the various tournaments, and coming from both the municipality of Valdidentro and the other villages in the Upper Valley.
In summer, with the support of the Stella Alpina Cooperative, summer entertainment is organized in the area, promoting sports activities and aggregation among school and preschool children (3 -13 years).

In the autumn and winter periods, events are usually organized indoors, such as card tournaments or open evenings for fun/recreational purposes to create simple carefree occasions. Many activities take place with the NOI Association, and in recent years, they have expanded, particularly in support of the Valdidentro Pastoral Community for the benefit of all its inhabitants.

The Association, with its members, wants to keep alive the use of the structure and the sports area of the hamlet of Semogo as a whole, to create more and more opportunities for aggregation and socialization, seek to pursue a path of collaboration with the various groups and associations in the area.

La multi-purpose hall

As far as the multi-purpose hall is concerned, there has been increasing use from year to year, confirming its potential; it is used for:

• initiatives of the pastoral community for formative moments or linked to the initiatives promoted for children and young people, in particular for catechesis meetings organized by the Valdidentro pastoral community for all the parishes or Catholic Action and ACR meetings;
• meetings of the Parish Pastoral Council and the Valdidentro United Pastoral Council;
• use by Valdidentro parish kindergartens for adult education, children's entertainment, or use of the spaces by parents to
• organize or prepare activities for kindergarten children;
• parent/child play evenings, to enhance family ties in different contexts
• cooperation with the Pro Loco of Valdidentro on the occasion of initiatives organized by them in or outside the sports area
• use by the municipal administration as a polling station in Semogo;
• collaboration with other associations and groups in the area, given and appreciated the large spaces available and the audio and video equipment installed.
• cultural initiatives open to all, concerning highly topical issues through the involvement of qualified persons.
• openings for specific uses requested by members and non-members.
