The Valdidentro Mountain Feast kicks off with a celebration of transhumance – the return of livestock from the mountain pastures – and a festival for the farmers
Thomas Anselmi
To mark the end of the summer season, the Valdidentro Mountain Feast takes centre stage: a two-day celebration of the mountains, their traditions, and the local area's identity.
An event that draws in residents and visitors alike to experience the alpine world up close, offering moments of togetherness, culture and fun for all ages.
The weekend kicks off with one of the most cherished and authentic events in the local tradition: “Al dì de la Bronza”.
A day celebrating the world of mountain pastures and the return of the animals to the valley after a summer spent at high altitude, a symbolic moment deeply rooted in Alpine culture. The village streets come alive with a picturesque procession of cows, goats and herders, accompanied by cowbells and the colours of tradition.
It is a special occasion to rediscover the customs, rhythms and atmosphere of days gone by, and to experience firsthand the bond between people, nature and the land. Throughout the day, there will be plenty of entertainment, culinary delights featuring local specialities, and activities designed to engage both adults and children, in collaboration with the Gruppi Pedenosso 2000 association.
“Al dì de la Bronza” is much more than a festival: it is a collective narrative that is renewed every year, capable of uniting the community and passing on the value of its roots to new generations.
